Our course covers Class 9 Lithium Ion Batteries UN3480, UN3481, Lithium metal UN3090 and UN3091 by Sea and road, under the conditions specified within Special Provision 188.
Our Special Provision 188 by Sea & Road training is for employees that work in an environment where low level Lithium ion or Lithium Metal batteries are handled and prepared for shipping. The course concludes with a knowledge test.
Successful candidates receive a Sea & Road certificate of competence, valid for two years, after which they must re-validate their qualification.
Access to the current IMDG and ADR regulations are required, this can be purchased along with the course.
Low Level Lithium Batteries by Air, Sea & Road
11 Modules / 12 Hours including Test/IATA Adequate Instructions, ADR and IMDG Certification SP188/Access to regulations required
Our low level Lithium Batteries by all modes training is for employees that work in an environment transporting lithium ion batteries under 100 wh or lithium metal batteries under 2 grams. The course conclude with a knowledge test.
This training does not cover batteries transported without the equipment they power by Air. A CAA certification is required to transport UN3480 that is shipped without equipment. For this course see Lithium Batteries by Air.
Successful candidates receive a certificate of competence, valid for two years, after which they must re-validate their qualifications.

Start your training with an introduction to dangerous goods by completing a dangerous goods awareness course. You will discover what dangerous goods are, the regulations that support dangerous goods and the 9 hazard classes.
Our course covers Class 9 Lithium Batteries including the transport and shipping of Lithium ion UN3480, UN3481, Lithium metal UN3090 and UN3091 by road.
Our Lithium Batteries by Road training is for employees that work in an environment where Lithium Ion or Metal Batteries are handled and prepared for shipping. The Road course concludes with a knowledge test.
Successful candidates receive a certificate of competence, valid for two years, after which they must re-validate their qualification.
Access to the current ADR regulations is required, this can be purchased along with the course.
